series 1 XKE rear hinged luggage board wanted | |||

Hi; I am looking for a rear interior hinged luggage area board that either lays flat or can be stood erect to keep the luggage in the rear of a series 1 (mine is a 3.8 liter engine car) E-Type Coupe. The board is usually trimmed in black vinyl and has a chrome rim on the front/top, and has two chrome "keepers" or latches on the wheel well sides and has two "arms" that can swing up. I need a replacement 4-speed syncro gearbox for my XKE. Needs to be short box i.e. not from a 2+2, without overdrive, etc. Perhaps you have fitted a 5-speed and have one gathering dust...? I'm seeking a complete automatic transmission assembly for my 3.8S. This would be the Borg Warner DG-250 transmission. My obvious preference would be one that is in good used or rebuilt condition but I am open to anything. Also would be nice to find one within 200 miles of Chicago for local pick-up.
