Re.: 1977 XJ12L 41K Mile Original Car
Edited on 2013-06-18 10:32:48

I have owned this Jaguar XJ12L for almost 30 years having purchased it with 3,000 miles on it after the previous owner passed away. I have maintained it with cost no concern. The car was repainted the original Jaguar Moroccan Beige with a coat of clear. The chrome is absolutely brilliant and original. The leather upholstery has been completely replaced. The Burl dashboard has been replaced with a NOS as has the top of the dash. I have the service manual for the car.
The car is for sale at "Best Offer" but the primary concern is that it go to an owner who appreciates the irrational love affair that old Jag owners have with their cars. My daughter drove this car to her High School Senior Prom and since then has only been driven rarely.

The mileage is absolutely original at 41,XXX miles.

I offer it for sale only because I recently had the opportunity to purchase a 2006 Aston Martin Vanquish S with only 4K miles and I couldn't resist it so now I am out of room as our 6 car garage has 7 cars in it!

I purchased the XKE serial number UC1S734338 in October 1997, from the third
owner, a fellow member of the South Florida Jaguar Club. The vehicle was in original condition, with sable brown exterior, and
cinnamon leather interior. The car is a matching numbers car with approximately
54K miles and sports an automatic gearbox and
chrome wire wheels.
When delivered, the automatic gearbox was nonfunctional, so the engine and gearbox were removed to have the original gearbox rebuilt. This kicked off a comprehensive 14 year major restoration which included a complete bare metal color change to Platinum and a new BAS interior in the buckskin color.
The engine bay was dismantled and fully detailed to original spec and all suspension parts were restored or replaced. The engine ran fine at teardown so it was left as original but detailed to show quality.
The interior was completely restored using only the finest quality materials supplied by BAS Jaguar Trim of Vancouver, Canada.
Most external chrome was replaced with NOS
or re-plated to show standard.
The tires are new Dunlop SP radials on the original rims, and the spare is the original Dunlop that was never out of the car.
The 3 piece original trunk tool set is present in a new original spec jack bag.
The braking system was fully rebuilt and a new stainless exhaust system along with an NOS chrome 4 outlet tail pipe installed.
All work is photo documented and there is
a huge file of invoices supporting the work done during the 14 year restoration process.
This fine XKE has been invited to the prestigious Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance (the southern version of Amelia Island) the past two years and has done quite well.
The Jaguar runs well and cool, the original radio works great, and is a pleasure to drive( and yes the A/C blows cold!) Please check out the photos and e-mail me with any questions. $57,500

1988 Daimler VDP XJ40 Sedan
1988 Daimler VDP XJ40 sedan purchased new in Paris and imported to Boca Raton, Fl in 1997 by the original owner who cherished the car from day one. I became the lucky second owner upon his passing and owned and showed the car for seven years, always scoring close to 10 in the driven class. The car is Dorset Grey with magnolia interior of which is near perfect, since only one person travelled in the car. The car has just under 90K miles and is rust free with many upgrades, including a new $600. triplex windscreen and $1000 rear suspension kit, new headliner, perfect woodwork and picnic tables and is sitting on new tires. The engine runs strong and cool and the A/C blows cold.
The downside is that a dump truck ran into the rear of the car doing damage the insurance company does not want to repair and is beyond my capabilities. I would hate to see the car parted out so I am putting it up for sale at $1800 for a quick sale. It would make a great donor car or if your XJ40 is shot but has a good rear clip this is the perfect car for you!! Feel free to e-mail with questions.

1982 Jaguar XJ6 with Chevy 350 V8 engine and transmission
I have for sale a 1982 Jaguar XJ6 with a Chevy 350 V8 engine and transmission. The odometer reads 54,729. It does needs a gas tank replacement or fuel cell (original gas tanks have corroded and have allowed fine particles to clog up the fuel filters) before it would run. I poured gas straight into the carburetor and it started just fine after setting about 5 years. Some additional minor work may be needed from setting. Exterior has some minor rust. Interior leather seats have no tears or rips. I'm asking $1,000. Please email me at greenmachine1601@gmail.com with any questions or additional pictures.

1990 XJ40 LOW MILES PRESERVED AND ORIGINAL
A rare find with Only 43K miles on the clock. This car was purchased new in Texas and spent its entire life there always garaged. The headlights are telling the story, they are originals. Look at the walnut veneer wood trims no discoloration, no fading no crack they are just like new.

A bit of history!

For the XJ40 (XJ6), 1990 was the pivot year at mid range (1986-1994) and the year when Ford purchased Jaguar the 1990 XJ40 were the best built and the most advanced cars in the world at that time.
4.0 liter engine AJ6 six in line twin overhead cams fuel injection smooth as silk 235 BHP at 4750 RPM, torque 285 LBS at 3,750 RPM
ZR 4 speed auto transmission with sport and normal modes electronically controlled
Teves ABS system (from 1990)
Analogue instrumentation all gauges
Walnut veneer interior with boxwood inlays to dash board and door capping
Special leather upholstery with vertical pleating
Electric front seats
Rear head rests
Clarion audio system
On board computer

This car is in near flawless condition, the interior is just like it was 23 years ago when shipped from England, the tyres are new less then 500 miles, engine bay and boot detailed and all original, electric front seats operates perfectly, so are all the inside lighting, cruise control and on board computer are working perfect, you can check you consumption, the distance to empty, how many gallons or liters of fuel used since last reset, power sun roof works nicely, power door locking system operates as it should. At 2500 RPM the speed is about 75 MPH or 124 KMH, the four speed automatic transmission shift smoothly, no clunking noise, no vibration no pulling, no wind noise. This is real luxury even in 2013 and the XJ40 will keep on appreciating in the classic car market. The Savoy Gray metallic paint is original, the Barley leather hides are original and were never re-sprayed, carpets are also original. The Jaguar is in my garage in Boca Raton Florida waiting to be driven to a loving home, please contact Michel 954-448-4681.

1990 XJ40 PRESERVED AND ORIGINAL LOW MILES
