P.S. I infer that no-one has seen a XJ-S Junior in North America.

Hello William. Here you go:

670111 W1216-8
Owner: William Brady
Chassis completed on 26 January 1950 and despatched on 10 February 1950 to Mercantil-Anglo of Caracas, Venezuela. Nothing further known until reported in the late 1970s as being in England. However, by 1979 it was evidently owned in the USA by James Caraher, of Tacoma, Washington. By about 1989 it was owned by Robert Ames, of Seattle, Washington, with low recorded mileage and had been restored to concours condition, being entered at the JCNA biennial concours dÔÇÖ?®legance at Bend, Oregon, in August 1989 and winning its class. Sold by Ames immediately after the concours. In November 1999 it was again offered for sale but unsold at a Barrett Jackson auction, but in January 2000 was sold at another of their auctions (for a higher price than previously bid). Early in 2001 it was again offered for sale. In January
2002 it was again sold at a Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, with fewer than 100 recorded miles added since 1999, at a yet higher price.
Original colours Red, Biscuit & Red, Fawn
Regd: 02426 (Oregon. USA), 913GYE (USA)

I have some more questions I'd like to ask you about the car, you can reach me at dthompsonatgbc.ca or 514-448-5231

No, but I am aware of XKdata and I submit the information there if the owner is agreeable. I think it's a great resource. I keep my own database of every XK in Canada. I try to help the owners with restoration, parts and repair questions and I try to help them track down the history of their car.

I heard about your XK150S. Note that I keep a register of all the XK's in Canada (even the rusty ones) and therefore would greatly appreciate it if you could send me the chassis number, a picture, and any other JDHT cert info at dthompsonatgbc.ca

PS
I knew I also had the Jaguar illness when I bought into the XK150S.

I swear it followed me home.

They chould worth more be based based on supply and demand.

On the supply side, there were over 100,000 full-size XJS cars vs 20-30(?) XJS Juniors built.

On the other hand regarding demand, I believe most people would balk at paying more for a 1/2 scale toy than a real used $75,000 car.

I am working on getting one for my daughter presently so I have a personal interest in this quirk car. It may be that this is a matter of greater, general interest.

Never seen one or heard of one in 30+ years of Jaguar illness.

Maybe they made one for the brochure and that was it.

Funny thing is, one of these would probably be worth more than the full size car as this point..

It is an electric car which is a 1/2 scale model of a XJ-S covertable suitable for children. Unlike other minimodel cars, this one was made for Jaguar, with some Jaguar trim and sold through Harrods and maybe some dealers. I am trying to find out if any were sold outside UK. There is some limited info on Jag-Lovers website which appears to be the only public info. Oddly, even JDHT in Coventry does not have one.
