MK2 crank pulley question

When I got my 2.4L MK2, it had air conditioning installed while it was in Singapore. Didn't work, banged your knees, no radio plate, internal heater controls, etcetera, etcetera. Yanked it and gave it all to someone who wanted it, except for the crank pulley. I have the normal 2-rib pulley and a V-belt pulley (for the A/C) on the crank damper. No problem, thought I, pull it off, separate the V pulley and re-attach. Just spent some considerable time pulling it off to find it is all one piece. Can't be, thought I, but sanded the areas it could separate, machine marks smoothly all across.
So, back together and running, but what Jag had a twin-rib belt pulley AND a V-belt pulley cast as one piece? I am in the market for a proper pulley, just to clean it up, but.....

Dave you are describing the correct setup for the AC on an early car but I checked all the listings and they were all 2 part. Perhaps if it is indeed one part someone machined it up but the front recess would be difficult.

I tried and tried to get them apart. The inner part, sanded it to see if there was a parting line, machine marks smoothly scrolled clear across. I ran the non-business end of a 3/16" drill bit down both sides of the holes to see if it "caught", as two-part units never seem to line up exactly, smooth.
Stumped.
I'll go looking for a single.
Thanks.

George, Dave:
You may not be seeing the parting line; it is a bore that is larger than the bolt circle that the four pulley mounting bolts have. The hub for the v belt pulley would fit inside the twin groove pulley. Put the whole thing in some penetrating oil overnight, then drop it on the workbench a couple of times and see if it separates. If not, paint the whole thing low gloss black and quit looking at it.

Yeah, well, it's six bolts! I even dragged a razor blade down the parting line between the two pulleys on the outside and got shiny steel. It's back together for now, I'll think about it later. Probably after I have a proper pulley in hand, as this one is not going back on once it's off again!
