: Hi All,
: I have just acquired an XK120 FHC and want to use it this weekend. Have
: not bought tech & specs books yet! (It is OE White and I have to
: go to and end of the season "wear all white" Party. Plus I
: want to show off my new JAG)!!
: My question : The water pump and the fan hub have grease fittings. I
: have Dridene WP grease (good stuff for really old cars!) but it is
: too thick to go through a grease gun. What are the suggection as to
: what to use and how to get it through the grease gun. I have a
: "dedicated" gun for the WP with a flex hose, so I can get
: at the fittings. Help! Please!

As you said you do not have the tech. books yet. Have no idea of how to get the ship back in the bottle- however the 120 manual calls for normal grease as for chassis or wheel bearings. Your car came with a spall grease gun that in practice can be used to service the car-although it would take more time. So forget the Dridene and use a good high temp bearing grease-good luck. Geo.
