A couple of weeks ago I purchased a 2000 XKR Coupe from a private owner. A previous owner had added a spring lowering package and aftermarket oversize wheels and tires. The front tires hit the fender openings on hard bumps. I have already bought a set of used original wheels and mounted the proper size tires. I was able to buy new front springs but have been unable to find any rear springs anywhere. Jaguar Cars doesn't have any and has no idea when they will be available. No dealership in the US or GB has any. None of the major parts suppliers have any. I am looking for one or two springs, P/N JLM020589. They fit 2000 to 2005 XK8 and XKR Coupe with Adaptive Damping Control Suspension and without the Performance Package. I found Coil Spring Specialties in Kansas, who can make a set of springs for me, but they need the specifications or a spring that they can copy. I can shim my current springs to raise the car, but I want to return everything to originality including the ride. Does anyone have any idea where I can find a spring or two, new or used or even borrow a spring, to return this beautiful car to it's rightful stance.

I already tried Coventry West, Welsh, SNG Barratt, XK's, Engle Imports/Terry's. The local dealer checked all dealerships in the USA. SNG Barratt checked all dealerships in GB. They all checked with Jaguar Cars. Thanks for your suggestion, but I already tried it.

just keep checking all the local wrecking yards, there is a wrecked one somewhere for sure......also try posting an ad on Jag Lovers for sale and wanted classified ads........

Go to "Motors" on EBay and post your request in the Jaguar ads. You never know. Someone may have a car they are parting out and since the same parts fit so many year models you may just get lucky. In fact, since your car has been altered, you may run into other things you want to correct and you may just find a recked car that you could get for future parts------if you have a place to keep it.
There is also a great Jaguar restoration outfit in Austin, Tx you might check with. Can't think of their name off hand, but well known. Someone on the forum may be able to pass on the name. Also check all the other locations that do restorations------there are quite a few.

There is a 2001 xkr being parted out right now on eBay, get the parts you need. eBay search xkr then parts then sort by highest price. Good luck, Jeff
