I want to make a presentation to our club members at one of the monthly meetings on the subject of holding a JCNA slalom. I will be passing out materials such as the rules and the course layout for them to see.

It would be nice if I had some video footage of an actual JCNA slalom event. If anyone has a video, no matter how amateur it may look, I would appreciate being able to borrow a copy for a couple of weeks.

Ginger has one shot at her event, I also have a video shot by one of our club member at Franklin, it includes about 5 or 7 minutes of slalom footage.

Contact Gary Hagopian. He produced a video about two or three years ago with Jaguar Club of New England that was an introduction to Slalom, with sections describing the activity, showing the course being set up, etc., There were sections shot with an in-car video camera so you could see what it was like to be in the driver's seat, as it were. It ended with some footage of the biennial Slalom that was held at Stratton, including, if I remember correctly, Karen Jones setting a speed record for the women's division in her beautiful European spec Series 3 XJ6. It was produced for the use of the clubs in promoting the Slalom. If for any reason he isn't able to provide a copy any longer, let me know and I will loan you mine.

I would love to have a copy of that video. I will ask Gary about it (unless he's listening in - Gary?).

I've asked those in the club to bring their videos from our slalom to our party next weekend. If they do, I'll get copies and let you know. The video I have is very short from our Florida event. Has one of Gary's runs, but not the 39.242 run. Got him popping a cone, though!

Daniels, I could still use that beer! Bass or Guiness, or both. :)
