The Jaguar Association of Central Ohio holds its' annual concour in conjuction with the Arthritis Foundation, Central Ohio Chapter. Over the two day period there will be around 2000 show cars of all makes and models and some 20,000 spectators as well. The Jaguar Drivers Club of North Texas held their second annual "British Envasion" concourse at the State Fair of Texas Saturday, October 2, 2004 with a reception at the "Adams Mark Hotel" in Dallas on the previous evening. Special thanks to "Autobahn Motorcar Group", "Jaguar Credit", and "English Color" for their help in making the concourse the great success that it was. A reception was held at the "Adams Mark Hotel" in Dallas Friday evening followed with a ride around Dallas in "The Bus" (a double decker English bus with authentic right hand drive). Saturday morning the cars formed a caravan at the Adams Mark Hotel led by "The Bus" and proceeded to Fair Park with Police Escort. The cars w ...

This car is # 92 of the last 100 Series III V12 saloons made. It is listed in the factory records as a Daimler Double Six; like all of these "last 100" cars, it was rebadged for Canada as a Jaguar V12 Vanden Plas, but this one was made very late, when the supply of some Jaguar trim items had been exhausted. The driver's floor mat, for example, proudly says "Daimler". The colour is unique to some of the last 10 cars: Black Cherry Mica; the trim is Doeskin piped Buckskin. The second weekend in September the Seattle JDRC/NWA held their Concour and had a good turnout of most models, esp. the E Types. The following day their Slalom was held at Emerald Downs, approx. 20 miles away. |
