2002 AGM : Rally Report

back

During 2001, 15 rallies were sanctioned. 2 rallies were cancelled and 2 clubs did not submit results. With a total of 11 rallies being run in 2001, this represents an increase of 37½% in rallies over 2000.

The number of participants in 2001 totaled 225, of which 74 were Jaguars. The main areas and strongest competition still come from the Delaware Valley Area 51, and the Northwest area. It is encouraging to see the Southeast and Southwest regions becoming more interested in the program.

During 2001 a Novice Rally Series was introduced. With only 3 clubs showing an interest, some minor problems need to be corrected. We hope to make the necessary amendments and publish new rules for the Novice Rally in 2002.

New standardized forms have been created this year for each of you to complete and return to me. If we can use a standard format it will simplify things for all concerned. These forms will be mailed to Rally Masters of 2001 and all sanctioned rallies for 2002. New Rally Rules and Regulations will be available in 2002.

Remember, to qualify for a National Rally Trophy you must compete in 2 JCNA sanctioned rallies. I would like to congratulate all of you who participated in 2001, and hope that you will participate again in 2002.

Doug Carr

National Rally Chairman
