2001 Slalom Report
In the past season, twenty one slaloms were sanctioned, three were canceled and reports were received for the remaining eighteen. Total runs were in the region of one thousand, (based on 5 runs per event per competitor.) Most competition was in the 6 Cyl E type class. Least competition was in the Class A, with Gary Kakuska being the only one daring to bring out his SS100.at Franklin Tennessee
Inquiries have been received about slalom set ups for 2002 from areas where none have been run before, possibly next year we will eclipse the twenty ran slaloms which is about the yearly normal. Gary Hagopian has traveled far and wide promoting the program and winning all kinds of trophies.
Certain items have been discussed over the past several months, I believe we now have an agreement and wording we can all live with and hopefully agree upon at the A.G.M. Many thanks to all JCNA Slalom Committee members for their imput to the final draft. Thanks should also go to Jerry Nell , as it was I believe his idea to set up the various teams to facilitate a smoother transition with new ideas.
Many thanks also to Tom Kopke for his never ending work with the Slalom Agenda on the JCNA Web Pages. Im Faster on Track than on word processor. Art Dickenson, Slalom Chairman
