VSCDA Historic Races at Elkhart Lake |
This year, Jaguar was the featured marque at the VSCDA Historic Races. These were held at the Road America racetrack in Elkhart Lake, WI, on September 22 -24.

Several members of the Illinois Jaguar Club (IJC) and Wisconsin Jaguars, Ltd. (WJL), attended the races this year and had a great time, despite miserable weather on both Friday and Saturday. In fact, the IJC folks had planned to make the trek from Chicago to Elkhart Lake in our Jaguars but the weather was so awful on Friday we all left them at home in dry garages.
There were many interesting, fast, and wonderfully loud Jaguar racers in attendance.

- Sunday's weather was much nicer, and did justice to the remarkably scenic quality of the track. Several Jaguars took part in open track touring prior to a special all-Jaguar race.

- Above(l): It wasn't quite all cars. IJC members enjoy dinner at Siebkens resort prior to a very entertaining talk given by Brian Redman.
- Above(c): Several XK-based racers were in attendance.

- In all, it was a great weekend, and I'm sure we'll be returing to Road America - hopefully with our own Jags.
