C-Type in Detail

With the nose off, the C-Type shows some XK120 underpinnings..radiator and front suspension clearly are evolved from the street car. While the C-Type earned it's reputation in part due to it's disk brakes, the early cars had drum brakes, as does this example. Suspension components were borrowed from the Jaguar standard parts bins.

About the author - Michael Frank is Vice President and Webmaster of the Jaguar Touring Club. His red 2+2 E-Type is a familiar sight at JCNA events in the Northeast. Currently, he is building a reproduction of the 1963 Cunningham Lightweight E-Type.
