[The Fitch Whitmore Le Mans Special in Detail Home Page]

The Special's front suspension is pure XK 120, with twin wishbones, torsion bars, and a swaybar.A standard XK120 rack and pinion complete the setup.A set of Alfin vented brake drums improves stopping power. Koni shocks are a modern addition. Note the standard 120 radiator, steeply raked to allow a lower bonnet line.

The XK 120 rear suspension, with solid rear axle and leaf springs has been retained. Brakes are aluminum Alfin's.

Tires are 6.00L16 Dunlop racing tires. The wheels are Borrani's. Note the air scoop in the brake mounting plate. These scoops draws cool air into the vented Alfin brakes.
