A new Special Events Membership form is now available from the FORMS section of jcna.com.

This category of membership was created to satisfy insurance requirements that all JCNA competition event entrants be JCNA members. It allows non-JCNA members to enter a single competition without being a regular member.

To eliminate the membership number, membership card, recording requirements and inevitable confusion from Special Events Members not knowing or having received their membership cards, the JCNA BOD has changed this category of membership for 2003, as follows:

• Special Event Membership fee has been further reduced from $10.00 per year, to $5.00 PER EVENT.
• Membership form and payment is to be collected at every JCNA competition, and forwarded to the JCNA immediately following each event.
• A single $5.00 payment and form, covers all competition held at a weekend event such as the "Western States Meet".
• This category of JCNA membership is ineligible for year-end awards, and member is not entitled to receive the Jaguar Journal.

The new fee makes it easier to attract non members to our competitions, but requiring the payment for every entry, will encourage entrants to join a local club.

Please bear in mind that Nelson Rath must have received the form and payment for our insurer to cover your club against claims resulting from the entry of a Special Events Member.
