Pacific Jaguar Concour D Elegance 2003
Pitt Meadows, BC, Canada.

For the third year in a row , the sun shone all day on a group of Jaguar enthusiasts from the North West Region of JCNA. Twenty two gleaming Jaguars graced Pitt Meadows with their presence, although only fourteen were judged, the judged cars were very well prepared. One car in Championship, and one car in Driven Class, achieved the ultimate reward for such condition. The championship car belonged to Mike Powley, a 2003 X Type, 2.5 litre. The driven car belongs to Alan D Thompson, his car a remarkable 1970 E Type in British Racing Green, Alan and his wife were a compliment to our event, and are added to our list of very desireable entrants. Several cars stayed almost out of sight in amongst the grove of evergreens at the Pitt Meadows Park, staying cool and perhaps watching their relatives being scrutinized in the sun during the judging period.

At four PM the convoy was led out by Trailer / Slalom King, "Silver", the cars drove gingerly at a snails pace through the crowds attending Pitt Meadows Day Celebrations. Thousands f people with their children attend this event every year, and we feel Pacific Jaguar is very lucky to be the star of the show with this many people in attendance.

The banquet and Trophy presentation was held just a stones throw away at the Ramada Inn, the banquet served buffet style, turned out to be more of a feast than a banquet, the food was great, and all for about thirty US dollars.

A raffle was also held, each person was allowed one ticket only, everyone was a guaranteed winner, and everyone received a prize by the end of the evening. Art Dickenson and Ron Hoffart were joint MC's and Ron was in charge of announcing the Concour winner's, Art in turn presented the

trophies to the lucky winners. Members from three JCNA Affiliate Groups were present, JDRC/NWA ( Seattle ), CXKJR (Vancouver ), and of course their hosts PJEG ( Pacific Jaguar ).
