Dean Cusano's 1984 "X57" model XJS attained the 37-second range.

Dean transformed the rusted hulk of the special production 1984 X57 model of XJS into a lean racing machine. His time in July 2013, 37.957, was only 2-tenths of a second behind Dick Maury's all-time JCNA record set in a race-prepared XKE. Those two Jaguars are, to date, the only members of the "37-second" Club.

Dean's Jaguar is truly commendable and I may have missed something here, but where is this post taking us?
