2002
Annual Tour Story and Pictures

Once again, the Jaguar Touring Club of New Jersey will be taking to
the highways and byways for what looks to be an exciting and memorable
fall tour. The 3rd Annual JTC Tour heads north again this year, but to
Upstate New York. Fall in the Adirondacks Region is nothing short of magnificent.
Trees start to show their colors, the nights are brisk, the crowds are
gone, and the countryside unfolds itself for all to enjoy. And this year,
capping off the week of touring will be a stop in Stowe, Vermont, for
British Invasion XIII, this year spotlighting Jaguar as the featured marque.

The Tour begins in New Jersey on Saturday, September 13, 2003, and will
meander up the Hudson River valley to Saratoga Springs. A three night
stay in Saratoga will include side trips and activities in the area. Those
who wish can visit the famous Springs to relax. A day trip to Cooperstown
will include stops at the Baseball Hall of Fame and the local art galleries
and outlet malls. On Tuesday, the Tour will head off into the wilds of
the Adirondack Mountains taking the overland route to Lake Placid. Visits
to the Adirondack Museum and leisurely scenic drives are planned.

On Friday, the 19th, the Tour will swing east, across Lake Champlain,
to Vermont. A two-night stay in Boulton Valley will provide easy access
to Stowe and British Invasion on Saturday. Not only is British Invasion
one of the largest gatherings of British cars on the East Coast, but also
this year with Jaguar being the featured marque, the turnout of Jags should
be impressive. In addition, the Jaguar Club of Montreal has sanctioned
its annual Concours to be held on Saturday at British Invasion.

This year, participants are required to make their hotel reservations
themselves. JTC has arranged for a block of rooms at designated hotels
in each of the three towns, but members must call and reserve a room for
themselves within the block. Reservations in Saratoga and Lake Placid
must be made by August 1, and in Boulton by July 15. So if you're interested,
don't wait! Book your rooms now to avoid being disappointed.

A complete announcement with reservation information can be downloaded
and printed from the JCNA and JTC websites (see above for links). Any
question or for further information, contact Steve Ferring at 973-838-5612,
email: jag140atoptonline.net. Also, if you're going to participate, please
contact Steve Ferring so he can track those who will be joining us. For
those folks who are not in New Jersey, you are welcome to join us at any
point on the trip. Just book your rooms, meet us at your selected destination,
and let Steve know you'll be part of the group.

Touring is what we do! After all, we ARE the Jaguar TOURING Club.
