Enjoy the celebration of the worlds' most famous sports car -- Jaguar xke, the featured Marque -- as the Nation's Capital Jaguar Owners Club (ncjoc) hosts its 47th Concours d'Elegance judged car show at Reston Town Center. This display of Jaguars at the Concours on Market Street will represent almost every vintage from the 1927 Swallow to today's 2011 XJ and continues the visual history of an automobile that remains the epitome of the classic car -- exotic, romantic, stylish, elegant, and impressive. The Jaguar xke debuted in March 1961 and production ended in 1974 with more than 70,000 E-types of all Series having been built. According to Sports and Exotic Car, "The xke was Jaguar catching lightning in a bottle." To this day the car makes an impression on the press and public alike! The United Kingdom's Daily Mail prophetically wrote in 1961, the xke will be "The most wanted car in the world - it will be a winner everywhere."
