I just purchased the car and had to put a new battery in it. The marker lights and headlights are flashing quick, and I can't get the car to do anything with the fob, with a new battery. It will not turn over, and no fuel pump running. If you jump the relays it will do both. All other controls and features will work. I have tried disconnecting the battery, locking the car, unlocking the car, and still get the light on the steering column that is flashing bright red very quickly......
HELP PLEASE............

Sounds like the alarm system is working except that there is no audible. I say this because of the flashing lights. There is a way to disarm it in the owners manual if you have one. Maybe someone will be able to tell you how. This is why it won't start. If my memory is correct you insert the key in the door and turn it from lock to unlock three times and then get inside and turn the key in the ignition and this would reset the alarm and allow the car to start.
