Need some help. Does anyone know where I can find information on the factory paint process used on the XFR (Ultimate Black)?

Since purchasing this awesome vehicle (first time Jaguar owner)I have not had to treat the paint (e.g. wax and polishing). The water still sheets off the paint after I wash it so I can only conclude that there was a special factory process implemented

Jaguar paint is a high quality, water based paint that goes on robotically, after a base coat/protection layer applied by dipping the entire body. Both are applied using electric charges to attract the coating to the metal.

Below is a link to a video of the process.

Bear in mind, the dealer that retailed the car may well have applied some form of wax or sealant to the finish as well.

Cheers,
