Need some help..... I'm not a true Jag man, What I'm doing is building a 1927 "T" bucket. I got a 64-67XKE Jag rearend for it and it's brake system is incomplete. The brake calipers that came with it are "SUMITOMOs". Has anyone ever head of these? Where can I get parts for them? Or..... Does anyone have a set of used brakes for sale? Is there a sight I can go to for use Jag parts?

I'm Stuck!!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Mark,

The best way to fix your brakes is to purchase brand new Stainless caliper halves from Hye-Dra-Cyl, LLC . Totally new these are indestructable, and are the only new parts of this kind on the market. Much better than sleeving old cyls.
You can buy direct or from XKs Unlimited.

Very often, a rod builder will start with a Jag rear and turn it into something else. There are a few vendors who specialize in custom rear axles who could probably help:

http://www.geocities.com/~concourswest/ (Concours West)

http://www.precisionbrakescompany.com/ (Precision Brake)

http://erareplicas.com/427/frsusp.htm (ERA replica)

All of these companies make "hot rod" versions of the Jaguar rear end. They'd be more likely to be of help for your "special".
