My local dealer just installed a new driver's seat memory module. The old module was only intermittently moving the seat fore and aft. The new module seemed to work for the first day. After I adjusted the height of the seat downwards as far as it would go and sat in the car, the seat once again won't move fore and aft. I am now suspecting a wiring problem external to the module. Has anybody else experienced this?

Mark - I have a 1997 XJ6 (X300) with driver's seat not moving. Checked fuses - all OK - what else? Did you sort your seat switch pack problem out?

I have a knocking sound from around rear shock absorbers. Sounds as if A- bushes gone so frame hitting bodywork. Have you come across this problem?

Thanks

the seat memmory module is one of the few recuring problems on the X300. they usually fail after a few years. Some have been able to repair them, saving a lot of money... but if you had this done by a dealer, they shoudl be able to make sure the replacement work! I wouldn't mess with it since there is a 1 year warratny on replacement parts...
