The removable portion of the ashtray in my 1970 Series II FHC is discolored from, believe it or not, ashes! I cleaned it with the usual chemicals (409, windex, etc.) and it removed the residue but the discoloration is still there. Any suggestions on how to remove the discoloration and get it back to its normal gray/silver color? I'm thinking that soaking it in something will work, but don't know what to soak it in.
