I recently purchased a battery from XKs Unlimited that was suppose to be a replica of the original Lucas battery that came as OEM on my 1967 E Type. Part number SKU: CO-27537/MF. Upon installation the battery was too tall for the OEM hold down bolts and wing nuts to reach the factory slots. I've called XKs unlimited as well as Antique Auto Battery, the manufacturer, and both said they've never had that complaint before. My bolts appear to be OEM and do not appear to have been modified. Has anyone else experienced this? Can someone give me the length of your factory hold down bolts so I can confirm if mine has been modified?
