Hi guys I have a 1988 XJS if you didnt already know. I need a new distributor I was wondering if you think it would be better to go with a brand new one or a rebuilt one where would you suggest I go to look for one.

Is the distributor really dead, or do you just need to rebuild it? Check with the usual suspects (XK's Unlimited, SNG Barratt, Terry's Jaguar, Coventry West) for rebuild kits or rebuilt distributors. Alternatively, contact Stephan Roundy (stephanr
bealenet.com) who sells used parts. He may have a used distributor in good condition for you. He's a nice guy, very knowledgeable, good to deal with (NAYYY).
