Guys/Girls/Anyone, do we have a clue for the web site or is this ending up like the rest of the country, dying and no one cares?
Shame really.......Oh well.

GTJOEY - very interested in how your A/C project works out. Did your car originally have AC? In an ideal world I'd upgrade mine (Factory AC) but keep the factory vents & hope it looks the same in the engine compartment. What kit did you buy?
Tony - Thanks for keeping me in mind! I'm sorry but I can't offer any advice. Maybe slip the belts over before you bolt on the parts? I guess they should be able to fit on and off without doing this but worth a try? I do very little on the car myself....I study it, I'm learning it etc but I don't want to be a poser here. Maybe a couple of pictures? Note, this pictures were taken before the spring-tensioner was properly fitted near the water pump so it may show something wrong...but I don't think so its just that if you looked at that spot (where I don't have a picture) you'd see the belt just skips the tensioner that isn't there. Hope this helps a little. Away from my car at the moment so can't take any more pictures from more appropriate angles.

I realize this thread is jumping all over the place but I'm trying to keep Jason in my loop since he has referenced my car-type SII with AC (mine is 1971... last of the 6's).
Jason, I'm refurbishing mine and can't figure out how to put the water pump belt back over the edges of the pulleys. I've got 4 belts... one for the water pump (the longest and fits on the pulleys closest to the engine), then various lengths for the alternator, the AC, and the power steering. I won't know which goes where until I reassemble those units on the various brackets, but I'm concentrating on the water pump one first.
I'm enclosing a picture of all the pulleys. Thanks.

Anyone else, please chime in!
Even relieving the spring-loaded tensioner pulley (the middle one), I can't figure how to get the belt over the edges of the upper and lower pulleys closest to the engine. I can't remember how I got them off! Do you have any experience with this?

Still here too, just been busy. I think the main thing that's killed the form is that when an old post gets commented on it doesn't rise back to the top like it used to...fostering conversations of hot topics. Speaking of hot...Took my SII out the other day...love my E but when its 90 degrees in Florida the black interior and in-need-of-refurbishment factory A/C makes it a little hot to say the least.

That's a coupe, About 20 years ago a company out of Germany had this covered head light conversion, about 5 grand at the time.......for series 2 and 3, with the same color in the buckets , it looks great and you can use halogen bulbs...
Using MG marker lights all round are flat compared to the jag bulky ones. The overall appearance makes the series 2 more sleek and longer and smooth.

Joey:
What is the point of this post? I use the Jaglovers forum now. There are far more users there than here.

Is the Olive green coupe or 2+2 yours? No rust anyway... I just got a roll bar for my OTS so I can run it in the local hill climbs . Have to rebuild the garage before the E-type , so busy busy....
