I am restoring a 1967 e coupe. the heritage certificate indicates a silver blue opalescent car with a black interior, both of which are visible, I am the 3rd owner nd owner#2 made no changes. My question is regarding the headliner. Original is the fawn color, but the grey seems to be a better color with the others. heritage records do not track the headliner, therefore will a switch to grey be a problem for valuation? judging? etc.
is there a factory history on headliner color pairings? Was the headliner selected by the buyer? The color choices from BAS offered either with the black interior. It seems my black interior is somewhat rare with the opalescent blue exterior. Most I've seen are blue.

Scott the cert. does not list it as it was not optional (except special order which might list it). The head color was keyed to the interior color which was keyed to the paint color. Will it effect judging--yep if it is seen. Try Steve Kennedy's book "Jaguar the Classic Marque" which I hope will be avail here soon under the JCNA shoppe.
