I have something which looks like that: sometimes my gauge read a quite erroneous data, even far beyond full, as if the zero was shifted. I have found two ways to fix that for a while:
- turn the ignition key on-off several times, seeing that every time resets the needle more near the truth
- disconnect the battery for a few minutes, so that something resets somewhere. When reconnecting, everything is ok.
