As the new owner of a 1997 XJ, I'm interested in establishing a service baseline for my car. I'm the third owner of this relatively lightly used Jaguar. The car was well cared for by these owners. Mileage per year is slightly under 5,000. Most unfortunately, neither owner maintained a service record. Thus, I'm on my own to service the car, preferring to err on the side of caution. Thus, I'm inclined to change all fluids, including transmission and break line fluids. I'm new to the world of Jaguar ownership and would appreciate any advice regarding how to establish a service record; that is, what should I do immediately. Thanks much.
