I have a 2003 X type with Navigation and the CD changer stopped working. I replaced it with a used Jaguar CD changer, but I believe I "tripped" the security code. My question is can the used CD changer be re-programmed to work with my exisitng stereo/navigation screen, or will I have to purchase a new one from a Jaguar dealer and have it programmed.

Thanks

If all you did was install a new CD changer, no programming is necessary. If the radio display says "code" the battery must have been disconnected. You'll need to get the code from your cars paperwork and enter it by using the radio preset buttons.

Good luck,
