Waht is the procedure for becomingan at large member as opposed to joining through a club? I can't find anything on the JCNA website.

I had the same dilema. Click on "Join a Club" in the link bar at the top of the page. Under the picture of Jaguar Magazine, click on "Affiliate Club List." Finally, under the USA map, it says "No club near you? Join JCNA as a member-at-large." click on "click here for details."
