Lift points on 1969 XKE OTS

I too was hoping to use a two post lift to work on my 1969 XKE OTS. But after reading the posts below it seems unsafe to do so.

At the same time I've seen pictures of high end restoration shops with bodies on lifts (maybe without suspension and engine).
