My 2 cents -- I did see a orignal advertisement for a 140 that did have the flat toward the front. I spent over 2 1/2 hrs, installing that wonderful metal clip, using every small tool to convience them to go on from the rear side because the recessed screw hole blocked installing them from the front. The next time I will use silicon.
FYI I did install them with the slope toward the rear, so that I can se them better and also I just liked the look better, but that is just me.
