Help for starting problem??? '72 EV12, Auto trans. New Batt. Starter.
Turn key wont crank, starter spins when jummped. I'm trying to locate the safety switch. The new one (Terrys Jaguar parts # c33509) is a 2 wire pole rectangle, with a arm. I found the back-up switch, and a single wire pole switch (#c25463). The latter is in contact w/ shifting lever when in park.
This switch has something to do with the transmission, (I was told) but not starting it. Is it on the trans. itself and/or its on the shifting lever? Cant find the switch that looks like the new one... It could be my whole ignition key switch too, but I thought the cheaper part 1st might fix the no crank. thx.
