I received and posted a number of new proposals for the AGM including George Camp's Air Conditioning judging guide.

Looking back at the past 5 years or so, the amount of work that has been achieved by JCRC and the authors of the various guides that have been approved is absolutely incredible.

THANK YOU !

This was a MOST important Jaguar because it is ...

THE FIRST ELECTRIC JAGUAR EVER BUILT!

Awesome V24 (as in volts) 100% torque off the line 0 engine lag with an wesome 10 mph top speed & no brakes (just engine friction). This makes driving to shows unlikely.

Seats two children or two VERY small adults and makes an E-Type cabin look like a stretch limo.

I am still miffed [well, no not really] that there is no place in the rules for an XJ-S Junior which, although not a car, is a Jaguar.

wow Art, aren't we picky ! "taking offense" at the order of the divisions in the rule book !! give me a break, i don't think anybody cares...

And before you bring out standings... if you want "special" inserted between Champ and Driven, i suggest you make it fit alphabetically because i am not rewriting the scoring program... so find a word between CH and DR :-)

oh boy... save the TRUE race cars.. special interest is for the most part a detailing competition.

Art there are a lot of reasons of which none were to cast a pale on special interest. A few that might make sense are 1-folks (read judges) were familiar with where information was so it remained that way 2.Special interest came last so that was where it went if for no other reason that yet another section did not have to move and 3 no one had any thoughts in the direction you suggest so it was not discussed. I am only speaking for myself as a JCRC member but a lot of your "churning" out of rules and a lot of our work has been spent addressing these sort of comments. As I write this there is a suggestion that Driven class cars should be allowed to be hauled to shows and since I have limited mental capacity I am having a hard time just with the language problem. Too often over the years we have had to deal with "rule" change suggestions that when uncovered are not for the good of the program but to benefit a few and in many cases only one. Having said that I KNOW the JCRC would welcome any written proposal you might have with all of the logistics worked out. Once again speaking for myself this type of negative comment w/o a plan just makes me tired and wondering if it is about the cars or ego! I do not want to start a battle here but if JCNA is to survive we all need to be part of the solution and not the problem. I do understand your logic and find no fault in it but it is the inference that this was done out of some dark plan is just unfounded. Take care and support JCNA the way you have best---go break 37 seconds--go ART George Camp

Overall the JCRC have done a wonderfull job, tirelessly through the years churning out rules etc for the masses. Written in an easy to comprehend sort of way, they are great.
However I firmly believe a car that is judged in all three areas should be scored out of 100, and not just the Champion Division. Remember many of the cars now in Special Division used to be in Champion Division CH 16, .
I also firmly believe the Special Division should be arranged in the rule book so they do not appear after the Driven class, some people seem to still think it is a driven class or lowest overall for sure. However engine bays in Special Division are shown and Judged as is in all Champion Division cars and should be placed next to the Champion Division in the Rule Book.
Competitors in Special Division put in as much if not more time into their engine bays than many entrants into Champion Division, so why are they inserted in a manner such as this.
Best Wishes , Art
