Pascal,

I like your proposal regarding amending the rules to oblige clubs to submit concours, rally or slalom scores at the very latest three weeks after the event. My question is this: what happens if they don't? Are the results of that event then null and void? Please put the "teeth" in your proposal.

To play devil's advocate: if there is no penalty for non-compliance, what will your proposed rule accomplish?

I agree, but it might be seen as too drastic :-)

Mt Dora, no... I don't think so... when is it ? drives and track days are more my things :-) only so many week ends anyway... got to choose...

Pascal,
Great idea, but three weeks is a bit long. To receive the scores in a timely matter there needs to be a sense of urgency. Seven to ten days would be more appropriate. See you at Mount Dora?

Yes it is, Pascal. Yes it is.

Just preparing you for what you are going to hear at the AGM from delegates. You are basically telling them the following "your club worked hard for months and months to put on a concours, you labored and sweated and worried about it for weeks, you busted your butt on the day of the concours to make sure everybody was happy and everything went smoothly...... and then the results were thrown out because "somebody" didn't bother to email-fax-mail the results on time".

I agree with you, put in the rule. But be prepared for the consequences and be firm!

It's farily obvious that if a rule is broken, it means that the event could be excluded from the standings. It is my understanding that this would apply to other things as well like not having rceived sanction, unqulified head judge, etc...

guess I didn't want to scare people... by spelling it out... but since it is stated that by hloding a sacntionede concours, the club agrees to follow rules,... it's fairly obvious. isnt' it ?
