I have a 1989 XJ6 that i had to have some body repair work done a few years ago. They did not fix it correctly, trunk leaks and now the boot lid is rusting. The company that did the work insists that this is a problem with '89 XJ6 and that there was a recall to that effect. I have searched on ALLDATA, but was unable to find anything concerning a recall with the boot lid. Does anyone have any info or any knowledge about 89 XJ6 and rust problems? I would greatly appreciate any insights.
