I am in the process of completing my fathers 1968 E-type jag after he passed in January from cancer. The wiring is presenting some confusion as there are two clusters of wires that we cannot determine where they go. I have had some feedback that the red/yellow wire may be to fog lights but we are unsure what either wire goes to and it is not found on our wiring diagram. Thank you for any suggestions!

In the photos you can hopefully see the red/yellow wire as well as the other wire with blue end cap. Sorry for the poor picture quality, it was the best I could get with my camera phone.

It is possible that the wire was in the harness to serve a function for a Euro country. Some of these "rest of the world" (ROW) wires may not be shown on the typical wiring diagrams that we refer to in the U.S. Although red with a yellow tracer was designated by Lucas for fog lamps, I am not aware that fog lamps were ever available from the factory for the E-type. Could the yellow tracer that you see actually be orange? The wire may be for side parking marker lamps used in Germany. When the driver parked a vehicle in Germany, they could click the turn signal stalk to one side so that the "parking" lamp would remain lit all night or in a blizzard during reduced visibility.
