We're looking for "A FEW GOOD MEN"! (or women!)
"WHAT" you say? Talking Director elections at this early date?
I say, "why not"?
Nominations are open IN ALL SIX REGIONS, anytime up to the deadline of Aug 1st. That date allows time for your picture, short "bio.", and the ballot, to be published in the Sept./Oct. issue of the JOURNAL.
Each of the six regions has two Directors elected for a two yr. term on alternate years. These folks travel to two meeting per year, helping run the JCNA. In your Region, you put a "face" to the JCNA when attending events of the local clubs, and represent their interests to the board of directors.
Regardless whether or not there's already a Director willing to repeat, you should enter this race. Each new entry to the BOD brings something new to the table. Competition keep everyone from becoming complacent, so I encourage your EARLY FILING of the nomination form found here on jcna.com.

I would like to sponsor an amendment to the by laws(?) that says very simply "Term offices of 2 years are based on a family group and not individual members within a family".
This might open up more members willing to serve in areas that husband and wife alternate the regional director positions.
