Hello,
This is my first post to this forum.
I have a 2001 XKR with about 2600 miles. The other day, I started the car and "Restricted Performance" appeared in the message window. I drove the car 2 miles and it operated with very low power. Limp Home mode?
I drove home, shut off the engine, and re-started. The message went away and the car performed as it should.
The dealer says he thinks there is a software upgrade for both the S-type and XK that fixes the problem.
Has anyone experienced this?

My 86 got real stiff in the pedal a few years ago. I didn't realize a lack of travel necessarily but all the same put in a new cable and it was no longer sticky. My problem was trying to start driving slowly and I would push until it would go halfway down all of a sudden and I would start from a stop like I was trying to race other cars. Got annoying.
