i changed the wires, coils, ignition amplifier i just can't believe this i even went as far as checking to see idf it jumped time i poulles the cam covers but everything seems to be in line i just don't understand this the car sounds like the timing is 180 degress out all it does is pop the funniest part is i pulled the plugs and the are dry i am really starting to thing i have a fuel problem can someon tell me what the fuel pessure sould be at the pump and second has anyone ever heard of this happening before in an 86 with the 5.3 i am also being told that the 86 does not have a crank sensor please someone help i am at wits end especially when there is no jag dealer within miles of me and the dealer informed me today the no longer work on these old cats

The pump will produce a good 60-80 psi or more. But, you should have 35 psi or so at the fuel rail *while cranking*.

The crank sensors were first installed in mid-'89 on the cars built with the Marelli ignition.
