Got my beautiful new Jag dash and console pieces in and I am going to tackle the job of installing this weekend. My car is an 86 XJ6 VDP.
Any tips to knowing the best way to replace dash piece, trip computer pieces? The glove box and shift console seem pretty straight forward. My Haynes manual is no help on dash and console. As I have the new pieces to install, I can pretty much see where it bolts up but knowing how to break it apart would be very helpful.
One other thing. Bought an aftermarket door seal (front) for my car from Moss. Any experience with these out there? It looks like it will be a pain in the ars to install. Any trick to it or just lots of time, patience and beer?
Last but not least. Time to replace the beat up old leather steering wheel. Bought a beautiful Nardi 3 spoke and adapter hub for the Jag and wanted to know if getting the old wheel off and offering up the new one had any challenges that would be good to know about prior to opening the tool box.
I realize this is much to ask but all the help will be greatly appreciated.
