Hi all, has anyone dealt with this: my water temp gauge has stopped working. All other gauges work fine. Where do I begin in finding the fault? What are the typical issues with these gauges/senders?

Disconnect your transmitter wire at the engine. With the key on but the car not running ground the wire for a second or two and check your dial. If it is the sender the dial will peg to hot--do not leave it there for more than a second or two. If the dial does not move then you need to check the wire from the sender to the dial for issues. A volt/ohm meter will do it. If the wire is good then it is your dial. Good luck.
