I have an '76 XK6C that is just wanting to perform like it was designed. This is a US version with the Zenith Strombergs with ALL the emissions stuff. I have access to the European SU SIF-F carbs designed for EU spec XJs and I also am looking at a Weber direct conversion (sold on eBay).

For those performance affcionados out there, what say you?

thanks very much

Not sure if commerce is allowed on here? Probably better to contact me off-list so I can send photos etc.

The SIF-7 carbs are 1.875, go figure. What do you have in terms HD8s and manifold? A D-type, Really?

61 M2 3.4, 61 M2 3.8, 63 XKE OTC, 76 XJ6C, 89 XJS

I think SIF/HIF carbs are still only 1.75" aren't they? Go for 2" HS8 or HD8 and matching manifold. Contact me off list if you want a set cheap before I put them on eBay.
