2003 XK8 62,000 mi.
When in reverse gear, I hear back up beep for about 2 seconds. But the rear bumper sensor does not make a sound when close to objects behind the car. The warning sound stopped about 1 month ago.
Is this controlled by a fuse?

If there is a failure of one of the park aid sensors or the wiring to them, the result is a two second tone when engaging park. That is how it alerts to a failure.
It will require diagnosis with the Jaguar diagnostic equipment or possibly with an ultrasonic sound detector. Not much of a home job.
