Does anyone know where I can find a good running 4.2 engine for a 1987 Jaguar XJ6 Series III? Preferably with low miles and a decent engine loom still connected to the fuel injection. I tried looking in JCNA classifieds with no luck.

Robert you might try your Jaguar dealer --there may still be stock of reman engines available and they come with a warranty. Not cheep but may be now if stocks remain.

I will also consider a short block in good condition (long head bolts not rusted or stripped out in the block, etc.)
