In 1958, my grandfather purchased what he believed to be a 1950 Jaguar Mark V 3.5 Litre Drophead Coupe. However, the title does not list the year of the vehicle. Can anyone confirm the year the car was manufactured based on the following codes obtained from the firewall plate?

´é¥ Chassis number: 647281
´é¥ Body number: DH1471
´é¥ Engine number: Z2911
´é¥ Gearbox number: JH3922

My grandfather passed away last year so I am helping my grandmother obtain additional information on this vehicle.

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

Joe,

Go to the "LIBRARY" page on this website, scroll down a little and on the right hand side find the heading "Jaguar Cars Archival Services", and under that click on "Heritage Certificates". There you will find what you need to do to obtain the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate for this Jaguar, which will provide the specific information you need.
