Hello,

This concerns our 1990 XJ-S Convertible: the black triangular shaped inserts (both passenger and drivers side) that fill-in the window area in the lower front section of the window frames (not sure what the heck to call them...). Anyway, these inserts are nicked and have shed some of their coloring. Does anyone have a paint recommendation? The existing paint (what is left of it) appears to be a flat rather than a glossy or satin sheen. Of course - it may just appear flat since the paint is old and nicked-up.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Hey Dwight, the paint is usually flat black in these areas. I use flat black trim aerosol paint for this area, no problem, sand and prep wipe before applying, Regards, Art
