I've just purchased a 1995 XJS V-12 convertible, couln't be happier. The car is currently in Virginia, and I need to get her up to Massachusetts.

I'm considering renting a trailer and towing it up. I have a 2006 F-150 4x4 that should be able to handle the job. U-Haul and Penske claim the car is too big and can't rent me their trailers. Is the GVWR rating on the car (5026) in pounds or kilograms? Is there a rental company that has a trailer big enough?

I could have the car transported. Can anyone recommend a good auto transporter?

I could drive her up, a nice ride when I exchange papers in April if the weather holds, but I'm unsure as to what the Massachusetts insurance requirements are (Mass residents, any suggestions?).

Your help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I purchased my Jag in Houston, drove it New Orleans and proceeded north and west, Through Memphis, Sioux City, Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, over the "going to the sun" road in Montanna and up into Vancouver, Canada. The Car is a dream to drive and I haven't stopped smilling yet. I lover her!
