Regarding the expansion of the Logos, Labels and Decal Section. It has been proposed the following be added:

Decals, labels or permits required by local authorities, places of work or residence, for legal operation or access, etc. may be neatly affixed to the vehicle's glass or bumpers without deduction.

It would appear that this rule would cause a deduction for any window decal or sticker issued by a local club. I don't know how many clubs have issued such stickers but I do know Houston offers them to their members. Probably less common would be decals or stickers from other legitimate car related clubs such as the Antique Automobile Club of America. I assume those would also cause a deduction.

I suspect the intent of the rule is to eliminate silly decals such as Calvin releveing himself on other makes and the like. There should be an exception, however, for local Jaguar club decals or stickers and those of other legitimate clubs that promote the owning and restoration of classic automobiles.

On a related note, are dash plaques issed to participants of various non-JCNA sponsored rallys or motoring events cause for deduction?

Best Regards, John

Our local JCNA club sells stickers and mounted badges. I also have another local club sticker - "British Saloon Car Club" on the windshield.

Current stickers let you meet and greet club members.

Vintage tags form part of the provenance, originality, authenticity and personality of the car. I do not like to encourage the loss of a vehicle's history by deductions. I would leave a dealer sticker regardless of the rules.
